Episode 55 - Rosie Skene

In this solo episode of Triumph Beyond Trauma, Rosie Skene shares a personal moment from her solo parenting years — when the smallest thing, a broken TV cable, tipped her into tears and revealed how much unrecognized burnout and stress she was carrying.

Rosie opens up about how, at the time, medication didn’t feel like the right option as a solo parent, and how discovering yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness opened the door to healing without numbing out. She explains how these tools work alongside therapy and medication, rather than replacing them, and how they can help first responders, veterans, and frontline workers reconnect with themselves and find a sense of calm again.

Rosie also guides listeners through a simple 2-minute breath and body reset they can use anytime to ease tension and overwhelm.

If you’ve ever felt like the smallest thing could break you, or you’re tired of pushing through without relief, this episode is your reminder that there’s another way forward.
